cK IS BACK on CKLN Radio!

cK and pals take over Toronto's airwaves!

It was the first show for 2006, and let it be known... CrazyKelvin is BACK on the AIR!

I invited a panel of guests to discuss the big key issue going on in Toronto at the moment, and that was the recent surge of gun related violence terrorizing the streets. Those who came were, Justin, Ramone, Jerry, Andrea, Nageeb and The Big Black Machine

For those who don't already know, the city of Toronto in Canada is a relatively very safe city and place to be. Any news about murders or homicides is instantly front page news because it just doesn't happen much. On December 26th - the busiest shopping day in Canada, an innocent bystander by the name of Jane Creba was caught in the middle of a shootout between rival gangs. Jane tragically died from the gunshot wounds, she was only 15 years old.

The age range of the guests I have is 15 to 17. About the age of Jane Creba and the age of the shooters as well. I wanted to get their opinion on the air as well discuss it openly with people calling into the radio station.

We all discussed how tragic it was, as well as how we felt about the situation. The phone lines lit up when I invited people listening to call in. People were really glad to hear the youth's point of view on this subject as opposed to media speculation. After the intense show, we all took a walk to the scene where Jane tragically passed away. It was literally one block away from the radio station. We all took a moment to read the cards and observe how real this was.

Besides the strong topic of the show, it went quite well and I look forward to more high quality shows in the coming year.
