cK at Nafeeza & Noel's Engagement
CK'S COUSIN GETS ENGAGED! CK DRINK'S TEQUILA AND THEN MAKES BAD DECISION. |
My cousin, Noel invited me to his engagement party happening at the Grand Ravine Community Centre. It was small and cozy and only close relatives were invited. It was a muslim engagement with no liquor present. Just lots of water and soda available at the tables.
A good number of my cousins showed up, and I came along with the Tazemaster. It was nice to see my cousin Noel making the leap and committing to a great girl like, Nafeeza. It was my first time meeting her and she was really nice. She definitely was really excited as she was constantly smiling the entire time.
There was lots and lots of food to eat -- salad, chicken curry, dhalpourri, lasanga -- a lot of things that would be infringing on my diet, but ah --- its an engagement party!
Noel looked really happy as well. He was constantly smiling. It was so nice to see a couple in love and displaying it this way.
The event overall was quite short. It started at 6pm (promptly) and finished around 9pm.
I met with some other cousins outside in the parking lot and we caught up with each other since I haven't seen them in ages. We drank some beer and a shot of tequila. For those of you who don't know -- Tequila is my arch enemy...but since I was a little depressed with all the romance (and me having none) I took a shot... The last time I had tequila, it was when I was living in New York around 2003, and I completely wiped out, not remembering anything. I just vowed, "never again".
Well... apparently, "never again" came on October 11, 2008! I haven't seen my cousins in ages and to turn down the tequila would have been kind of insulting. Especially when they say to have a shot with them. So I had a shot and was feeling okay... I felt great actually. It was the AFTER is where the tequila bites me. I started to feel all depressed and lonely...
After the engagement party, I ventured over to Miss D's apartment (my ex)... and I was feeling lonely and hoped that maybe we could reconcile things. Apparently, that didn't happen as she called security and didn't want anything to do with me. I left calmly and went back to the engagement after-party. It's a hard break up (like... REALLY hard) but I think I will blame the tequila on this one!
DAMN YOU TEQUILA!! NEVER AGAIN!!!!!
CONGRATULATIONS NAFEEZA and NOEL!!!!!
