cK Goes to Yuk Yuk's Toronto!
CK, THE BIG BLACK MACHINE, N8DOGG and more INVADE TORONTO's PREMIERE COMEDY CLUB! |
It was my first night out since my heart-breaking separation. I actually didn't want to go out, but my friends dragged me to go. I met up with N8 DOGG and The Big Black Machine at Finch Subway Station, and we trekked it down. On the subway, there were a lot of interesting characters. Some guys who were covered in blood, drunk... falling over each other. A group of teens headed to Nuit Blanche events.... then N8 spotted a She-Devil person reading a book entitled, "5-Minute Mysteries".
We asked her about the mysteries in the book and apparently we were involved in a 5 minute mystery of the book's origin.
After we pretty much frightened the She-Devil, we arrived at our stop. We walked to Yuk Yuk's and met up with the gang. Vinh and Bo Wen + more were waiting inside for us at a reserved table. Originally, I was supposed to have 'Miss D.' with me, so it was hard going without her. This was my very first time at a comedy club and it was really cool. Apparently my seat was front center... right by the comedian's view.
The show was very entertaining, the opening comic (for some reason I can't remember his name) was hilarious. He was from Montreal and made some great jokes.
The second comic was great too, he had the crowd feeling awkward at times, but that made it more fun.
The last comic, the headliner was
Terry McGurrin -- boy was he funny. He is a comedian and appears on shows such as "Comedy Inc." He had the crowd laughing so hard.
After the show, I got to meet Terry and the opening comic. As you can see in the photo gallery, I have some pics of them. After the club, we all went for a walk, we stopped in a pub and had a pint (or two). Honestly, it wasn't cool being without 'Miss D'. I really wished she was there with me.
Once people had enough of the pub fare, the group dispersed and went their separate ways!
Lately I have been faking my smile pretty much everywhere, but tonight I was really laughing it up. Thanks Yuk Yuk's!
