cK's Breakfast at Denny's and Bramalea City Centre Mall

Scrambled eggs, pancakes and hula girls!

The morning after our crazy night out, the group from NY (Rebecca, Dawn and Nick) all were hungry and wanted to eat something. So where else do you go for a great breakfast at 2 o' clock on a Sunday afternoon? Why Denny's of course!!!

So we all head to the ONLY Denny's I know of in the Toronto area, and that is located in Brampton, a northwest suburb. Do you think that they actually serve the "All American Grand Slam" at a Canadian Denny's? Or do they call it the "All Canadian Grand Slam"? Well, they do keep it the same original name - All American Grand Slam. We all ordered great breakfast food to our delight. Talking over cups of black coffees and glasses of ruby red grapefruit juice of our great spectacle of a night we had around downtown Toronto.

After we stuffed ourselves, we journey back to the car in order to find a shopping place where the gang can buy some Canadian items and take it back home with them. The closest shopping place I could find in the vicinity was the Bramalea City Centre Mall.

So we went there. I remember Nick looking up and in awe about the mall having 2 floors! I was like, "Man, just wait until I take you to the Eaton Center -- they have 5 floors!" The girls jumped into jean stores and tried on item after item. Rebecca got some Bluenotes Jeans that she was craving after seeing Sabrina with a pair that she liked.

As we were walking, we hear some performance going on the floor below us. We look over the railing and see a stage set up with children in like British uniforms dancing waltzes and organized dances in front of a seated crowd. It was so cute! Then another set of children come out to dance, and it looked like Ukranian dancing or something. I'm not sure with any of them, but it looked real cool! Looked like a lot of time went into practising for this.

We continued walking through the mall, and then all of a sudden hear loud Hawaiian music echoeing through the food court. So we all go to check it out. Yes, it was a group of HULA GIRLS dancing to that hawaiian rhythm that makes their hips sway like an extreme pendulum. They were actually singing along too. After the Hula girls heated up the stage, the next set was the Hawaiian Guys.... I've never seen this before and it was quite cool -- something for the ladies I guess. Rebecca and Dawn were snappin away pics of the hawaiian guys in their thigh revealing outfits.

We later found out that the mall was having a Grand Re-Opening celebration that day and having performances of different countries throughout the mall. Very cool.

So my great pals had to go back to the US... and what a whirlwind trip it was. From meeting and hanging out with a person you never met, to becoming great buds. The group drove back and had a little stop in Niagara Falls first to admire, well... you know.. Niagara Falls!

My original plan on Sunday was to go to the Suhaag Bridal Show to catch a photo and autograph session with Bollywood Actress, Lisa Ray. That didn't end up happening because I had quite the busy weekend that overlapped those plans. So my dear friend, Natasha - my on-the-scene reporter went there and took a picture of Lisa Ray for me. Natasha was 15th in line when Lisa Ray's bodyguard's told her the line would end there, because Lisa Ray has to go to the airport immediately to make her flight. Well, no autograph, but Natasha did manage to snap the following pic of Lisa Ray.

Thanks, Natasha for the pic!
