The End of the Brockton Era

LOS ANGELES, California - The famous apartment in West LA that was home to cK, Alex and DJ Fulton will be no more, as everyone will go their seperate ways at the end of June.

It was official after Alex announced that he would be spending a year in Germany and DJ Fulton would be heading to South Africa. There was no longer a need to keep the illustrious apartment that was at 1235 Brockton Ave.

For people who know Los Angeles, it is a very hard place to find a good apartment. Better yet, harder to find great roomates. CK was amazingly fortunate to find both at the same time, and days after arriving in California that September of 2004. CK responded to a posting on craigslist.

Spacious 2 bedroom apartment located on Brockton, 1/2 block south of Wilshire to share with 2 professional males. 2 bathrooms, carpet, pool, AC, dishwasher. Looking for professional / graduate student male to share room with. Rent $500 per month plus utilities. No pets.

Many memories and experiences were shared in that apartment. It was arguably one of the best areas to live in Los Angeles. Located in West LA, Brockton Ave is minutes from UCLA and 30 blocks from the Pacific Ocean.

CK's life would never be the same, after all the cool people that he met that came through there. The shared dinners, the dvd movie nights, the poker wednesdays... and the lovely nights drinking tea and talking.

"One thing that I really like about our apartment was the plush carpeting. It was so comfy. I can't picture it without thinking about Alex sleeping on it somewhere", said cK.

"Everyone is going into their own direction, this is now just the next step for everyone else", said CK who has already been spending most of his time in Toronto.

The end of an era indeed, but also the start of a new one.
